About the role:
If you're driven by the thrill of working at the crossroads of finance and technology and are eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic start-up environment, then this is the opportunity for you. As a Chief IR Manager, you'll play an instrumental role in fueling our company's growth.
You will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of investor relations strategies. This includes pitching to investors from your own established network, cold calling and emailing potential investors, preparing supporting materials, managing investor databases, assisting in communications between the company and its investors, and performing other duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange meetings with potential investors and pitch the investment opportunities to established investors when necessary.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of investor contacts, track company interactions, and identify new targets through meticulous research, cold calling, and email outreach.
- Collect and analyze pertinent business and financial information to craft a compelling narrative for investors and analysts.
- Draft and prepare engaging presentations and supporting materials to pitch investment opportunities to both new and existing investors effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D department and executive team to continuously refine our investment pitch and showcase it to potential investors.
- Conduct comprehensive reports on fundraising progress, providing direct updates to executive team members as requested.
- Stay informed about competitors' financial performance and investor relations activities to benchmark the company and identify areas for improvement.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in venture capital, investor relations, capital formation, or related roles, with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
- A proven track record of successfully fundraising for pre-seed and seed startups is a must.
- Previous experience working in an accelerator or incubator is a big advantage.
- A proven track record in capital raising and developing investor relations is a must.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CFA is preferred).
- Proficiency in due diligence, financial modeling, valuation techniques, and generating term sheets.
